One of my New Year Resolutions this year is to cook more! I am a sucker for a takeaway especially when I can't be bothered to cook. I want to start cooking at least 5 meals a week and have a more varied menu each week instead of just chicken, chinese and pizza. I know to many that probably sounds ridiculous as you cook every night of the week but I really don't cook at all apart from a Sunday roast, bunging a pizza in the oven and making the kids meals.
I'm wanting to eat healthier and get back into shape this year so combining these two resolutions I will be cooking healthier meals at least 5 times a week. Meaning I can still have a takeaway one night and have a cheat night also perhaps a pizza or a ready meal once in a while. I'm also trying to use up what's already in my freezer and cupboard this month so I have a cheaper food shop each week to save some money
Here is my meal plan for the week ahead:
Monday
Chicken Chow Mein
Tuesday
Nandos Style Chicken with Jacket Potato, Salad and Coleslaw
Wednesday
Egg, Bacon, Sausage and Homemade Chips
Thursday
Out
Friday
Duck Breast with Roast Potatoes and Vegetables
Saturday
Chinese Takeaway
Sunday
Roast Chicken
What's on your menu this week?
This week is my last week before starting personal training on friday. Naturally we are having a chinese takeaway tonight!
ReplyDeleteI've been meal planning for a while but I've just started Slimming World so I'm having to really think about what I eat. Your menu sounds fab!
ReplyDeleteMy intentions are to make a meal plan but I'm not very good and thinking of new ideas. Love the idea of duck breast know. 2017 may have to be the year I start meal planning, perhaps will save me money in the process..
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the meal planning and cooking.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have a great week of meals planned x
You should try an actifryer for the home made chips they taste lovely and are so healthy too

This sounds like a lovely varied menu for the week. I'm trying to get back on the wagon this week too - far too much weight has crept on over Christmas! xXx
ReplyDeleteI see chinese take away on that meal plan. haha
ReplyDeleteI am really bad for cooking too. I only cook two meals a week and they aren't always healthy. Last night we had Chicken Korma, so I suppose that was okay but I am never really bothered. Mainly because the kids won't eat it anyways. xx
I love your site! I hope to see more articles from you in the foreseeable future. Really great!!!
ReplyDeleteWill you have the capacity to stick to week by week installments? If not, search for a loan specialist that acknowledges every other week or regularly scheduled installments. Additionally, verify whether the moneylender charges prepayment punishments.
