A while back I posted my first trimester essential items that I couldn't live without during those first few months of pregnancy. The second trimester seems to have flown by and has been pretty good to me if I'm honest. It's usually a favourite of many, myself included as I had more energy and started to feel baby boy move.

Below are several items that I've been relying on these past few months to make life that little bit more enjoyable and comfortable.

Dry Shampoo

I am a regular user of dry shampoo and have been using it religiously during pregnancy. As a mum I'm tired as it is and with pregnancy thrown in I just don't have the energy to wash, dry and straighten my hair every day so dry shampoo has been a life saver! I love the Batiste range.

Bringing Up Bebe

I showed you some of my pregnancy books in my first trimester essential post which I have only read a couple of them. I heard good things about this book so decided to buy it a few weeks ago and have started to read it recently. I'm not much of a book reader, ok I lie I don't read books at all but I've been enjoying this so far.

H&M Long Vests

As I'm still in my pre-pregnancy clothing and don't really want to spend much money on clothes that I'm only going to get a couple of weeks of use out of them as I didn't wear any last pregnancy I picked up many of these long vests from H&M. They are great because they fit pre-pregnancy and will fit my bump right through to the end and then fit me straight after giving birth.

Love Boo Body Butter

I love the consistency of this butter and it also smells amazing! It leaves my skin feel super soft afterwards and it's beginning to run out already so I must buy some more.

Rennie Tablets

I've recently been experiencing heartburn which isn't very pleasant especially during pregnancy. It seems to be worse in the evenings and when I'm lying in bed, although I do get it occasionally during the day time too. I picked up some Rennie tablets which seem to be helping, as I can't seem to keep  Gaviscon down.

Palmers Cocoa Butter

I'm yet to have any stretch marks and I didn't last pregnancy either, however I can't rule it out just incase I do happen to get them so I'm doing everything I can to prevent them even though I know they are genetic. I used the Palmers Cocoa Butter stretch mark cream at the end of my pregnancy last time and I love the scent!

Belly Buds

This is a recent purchase which I'm glad I made. I've seen many reviews of these and decided to buy a pair to try out. Many people play music to their child whist in the womb and it has been said to calm the baby when they are hear in the real world as they recognise that song. I've been playing a few songs every now and again but can't wait to use it more over the next couple of months.

Lip Balm

Pregnancy has made my lips very dry so a good lip balm is a must. I've been liking the Palmers Butter lip balm as it's small enough to carry around in my pocket or bag and will also be great for my hospital bag which I will need to pack soon!

Pregnancy Journal

One of my favourite things to do during pregnancy is to document my memories, thoughts and emotions. I still use my bump to birthday book however I recently discovered the Baby B pregnancy journal from Busy B which I am loving!
