My Favourite 5 Outdoor Wedding Venues In The UK

With summer finally here, what a perfect time to plan an outdoor wedding! It may be too soon to plan a wedding for this year but what about next spring or summer? Now is the time to start looking. I would love to have an outdoor wedding especially if we were to be married in the summer.  I have chosen 5 of my favourite outdoor wedding venues in the UK to share with you.

1. Heaton House Farm

Heaton House Farm is an award winning venue located in Cheshire. I fell in love with this venue because of the beauty of the Oak Pagoda and beautiful grounds. The Oak Pagoda is licensed for civil ceremonies and can seat guests on the patio area and extending onto the grass if required, for an all together charming outdoor ceremony.

You and your guests can enjoy the outside area for drinks reception, canapés, BBQs, or perhaps some garden games, bouncy castles, football, or even a spot of cricket on the lawn? The grounds of Heaton House Farm are not shared with other weddings or golfers; they are exclusively yours for the day.  The stunning views and tranquillity make for a very intimate atmosphere. You will feel as though you and your guests are the only people in the world on your special day.

There are so many areas available for you to have photographs, that the opportunities are endless!

2. Wentbridge House

Wentbridge House is a Four Star Luxury Country House Hotel in Yorkshire. It is the perfect location for your special day. A day of precious moments and memories that will last a lifetime. They have created a setting that is elegant, distinctive and relaxing - a wonderful retreat from everyday life.

From intimate to extravagant, traditional to unexpected, Wentbridge is dedicated to creating an unforgettable Country House wedding that is uniquely yours. Built in 1700 and set in 20 acres of wonderful gardens and grounds, which provide the perfect backdrop for the most memorable photographs, there is no more romantic a setting to celebrate your marriage than at Wentbridge House.

3. Tre-Ysgawen Hall

Set on the beautiful Island of Angelsey Tre Ysgawen Hall is Angelsey's first outdoor wedding venue. Tre-Ysgawen Hall has launched Anglesey's first outdoor wedding venue with the unveiling of its new Wedding Pavilion. Set within the stunning flower-filled gardens of this award winning country house hotel, the Pavilion is the perfect choice for those looking for an intimate and truly romantic venue to exchange their vows. Licensed for weddings and civil partnerships between 1st April and 30th September, the Pavilion can accommodate up to 120 seated guests on the lawn allowing for the happy couple's friends and family to witness their memorable occasion.

Tre-Ysgawen Hall hosts only one wedding per day, ensuring Brides and Grooms and their guests will be completely undisturbed and are free to enjoy the surrounding grounds over drinks and canapés before moving into one of the hotel's four elegant banqueting suites for the Wedding Breakfast.

With a reputation for superb cuisine and fine wine, Tre-Ysgawen Hall is the last word in luxury for weddings and in 2013 was awarded Visit Wales' esteemed Gold Award for the third year running, Best Large Hotel at the Anglesey Tourism Awards four years running making it one of the most prestigious Four Star Country House Hotels in Wales.

4. Pembroke Lodge

The Pembroke Lodge has two wedding options, The Russell suite and The Belvedere. The Belvedere is a purpose built wedding venue which combines classic elegance with superb PA and sound systems, mood lighting and starlit ceiling.

The venue seats up to 140 seated guests and up to 200 guests in total for an evening party. Reception drinks are usually served on the terrace, which leads directly out from The Belvedere, with stunning views of the Thames Valley to the West.

During the evening guests can dance the night away to your band or DJ beneath the starlit ceiling. This combination of architectural details and lighting provides a unique atmosphere, whatever time of year you choose to have your wedding.

5. Dodford Manor

Dodford Manor is a magnificent Georgian Grade II listed family home with caringly converted 16th century barns, nestled in rolling Northamptonshire countryside, it provides a spectacular setting and unrivalled venue for weddings, family celebrations, events or corporate functions. Available for exclusive private hire only, Dodford Manor’s ancient stone barns, oak framed manor barn and westerly facing courtyard, have been sympathetically restored and rebuilt to offer a luxurious and stunning location. A truly unique venue to help make your special occasion complete.

I really like this venue as you can hire a marquee and have a beautiful wedding outside amongst the barn in the courtyard.

For the evening entertainment the lights are dimmed in the oak framed Manor Barn and a band or disco play, or guests may step out into the Courtyard to enjoy the stunning sunset! Our dedicated team support you from the outset, through planning stages, to the day itself. Your events manager will ensure you are the sole focus of attention from arrival, to the departure of your final guests and will be discreetly on hand throughout. The Barns, Courtyard and Manor Grounds are exclusively yours for the duration and they work with you to ensure your occasion is truly exceptional, unique and enjoyed by all.

  4. Nice pictures but I don't ever really feel that wearing my wedding ring is what determines me being married or not.

  5. Wedding is a very special occasion in everyone's life that is why they want to make it special in every possible way. I was also very excited about my wedding and wanted it to be the best. For me the most important things were the venue and the clothes. I really worked hard to make them best. The venue is main because the function mainly depends on it. The venue for my wedding was also very beautiful. You can refer this for further information http://www.efyc.com.au/private-functions/wedding.aspx
